Handset info:
White HTC Hero, bought in Norway (nordic version), running latest rom.

Got my Hero yesterday and the phone is working fine except for one annoying issue; Mobile network will not work in some apps, namely the browser, Steel (another browser) and Quikpedia (Wikipedia app). All applications works fine over WiFi, but not on mobile network. I get no error message, but no data is transferred and the green progress bar only moves slightly. It's no difference between 3G and edge.

Am I right in assuming that Steel and Quikpedia uses the browser to connect to the internet? Meaning that this is strictly a browser issue and not a general application issue.

In comparison HTC Mail, Opera mini and Android Market works fine both over mobile network and Wifi.

Searching Google I have found some people having the same problem, but the other way around. Meaning the browser working over mobile network, but not over WiFi.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
