IN case anyone was wondering. I know I just imported my contacts over to Gtalk, since it seems that will be the most favorable platform with the G1.

Hm, but will it be practical/functional on the G1 compared to using these "merged" contacts on the PC?

    Time shall tell!

Plus, I hope nothing happens on the AIM side as far as buddy list changes.

I wrote up a how-to on this almost a month ago, and I'll warn people about the downside here too: this work-around requires storing your AIM/Y!M/MSN username and password on a 3rd party server. Make sure you trust whatever company is running the Jabber server that you choose.
