if you had a g1 before the should have been saved to your gmail account. if they are all you need to do is sync your phone

Hey how do I sync it? Sorry I'm very new to this. Also I have a Macintosh Laptop... hopefully this doesn't confuse things. BTW I can check new email on my phone however the list hasn't been exported yet.

I am going from a black T Mobile G1 to a white version of the phone. I am giving the black one to my daughter and keeping the white version however I have all my contacts on my first phone. I want to transport them to the new phone as the Tmobile G1 doesn't have a sim card I can just switch. I figure the easiest way to transport my contact list from my old phone onto my new one is to upload them onto the computer and than onto my new phone. It would also be nice to have a copy of my contact list on my computer.

if you've already had a g1, then your contacts are backed up via google... All you have to do is activate your new g1 with the same google account as you did the first phone.
Also, if you want a local copy of your contact list, go to your gmail, then on the left there is a contacts link. Click it, and in the top-right, there is an export option. Click it, and select the option to export them in vCard format. Then you can open Apple Address Book and import them. |

I have logged in through gmail both times and am aware of my contact list however there's only 21 names on my contact list. I've tried to export it to a csv file however gmail is missing around 575 more contacts. Any help?
