Green charging light led.

Hi everyone, I just got my hero back after 16 days, it had to be sent back to the main repair centre as it developed 3 faults. The Red light that comes on when charging had stopped working, also it didn't turn Green when charged. The headphones socket went dead, no notification when plugged in and no sound through them or any others I tried, finally the trackball stopped illuminating when mail came in. The repair centre say they reflashed the ROM and its now ok.12 hours later my Green notification LED decided to come on for no reason, I wasn't charging it, nothing connected, I was just looking at some photos. Before I call them back has anyone got any suggestions of why it might come on? It only went off !fter I turned the phone completly off then back on again. Thanks for any advice. Oh, please not a factory reset again, lose all my apps yet again. Cheers.Ziggy

When something is mass produced a thousand times there's bound to be faults. Try realiing your phone is a mobile computer and that it does need a restart/shut down every now and then.
And to clear the cache or do a factory data reset every blue moon.

Thanks for the reply Iceberg. I did a factory reset 3 weeks ago, I will see if it developes into anything or hopefully it is just a minor glitch and has now cleared after powering it off. Thanks again. Ziggy

Now the trackball light has stopped again, that's 2 of the faults returned within 24 hours. Carphone warehouse say its got to go away again, another 14-21 days again. They say they allowed 5 attempts at repairing it, can that be right?. Ziggy.

Can't you ask for a replacement? I don't see "reflashing the rom" as "repair" at all. I can reflash the rom myself, hardware issues, on the other hand, I leave to the companies.

Cheers ado010. They seem to thing they got 5 attempts to repair it. I just did another factory reset, I noticed something now, the trackball does flash for normal texts and missed calls but not for emails even though I have all the notifications boxes ticked. I will keep it until the weekend then take it back. Should have bought the iPhone with hindsight, lol. Ziggy.
