Default got a response from garmin

my first impression was-"hmmm, that sounds like it just might happen. more optimistic than pessimistic sounding at least".

    Dear Scott,

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I will be happy to pass
along your suggestion for you. Right now, we do not have any immediate
plans regarding the Android platform, but this could change (and
quickly, sometimes). For more information, I would advise you to check
back with our website from time to time.

    With Best Regards,

i know it's early in the cell phone industry, but has it even been
mentioned that you might develop a version of mobile xt for the android
platform? i'd hate to have no turn by turn, which is what we will be
stuck with unless a professional company develops software for the
android platform. thank you very much for your time
