google voice invite request?

I requested my invite today. I assume it will take FOREVER to actually get it.

Anyone else get theirs after requesting it from google?

I finally got mine a couple days ago after requesting for one maybe six months ago.

I've heard people talking about getting invites from existing GV users, but being a long time GV user myself, when I log into my account, I don't see any option using which I could send out invites myself. Any clues as to how to do that?

I requested one from each of my hotmail accounts last year. Still haven't received anything. I requested one for my gmail address 2 months ago and received an invite about 2 weeks ago.

So I'm not sure exactly what order they're going.

I read somewhere that once they get all of the requests filled (it's a lot) they will give users some invites. However if you want you should request it, which cancels the need for invites.

No source though sorry, and not sure if my source listed a source either, but it makes sense.

Lol, I just got a duplicate invite to the same gmail address they sent it to before. I used it to sign my GF up. Looking back I should have just kept it for myself. lol.

I was just in a rush and I thought I had hacked the matrix, so I wanted to sign up real quick.

I received my invite after waiting 2 months. I requested a second for a friend two weeks ago and still waiting .

i got one yesterday , and i didnt request one ......
i thought it was just a new thing for mobiles like the new " favorite places on google maps " feature on google.com .
