The Android version of Google Maps is terrible compared to others, e.g. the BlackBerry version. It feels like an immature build. Maybe Google intentionally made it so crappy to encourage 3rd parties develop their versions for the G1.
So first off I love the fact that I have my google maps on the go. However being a user of Google Maps well before Android I have a history of past locations that I searched, a history apparently linked to my Google account seeing how I would jump on different browsers signed into Google & past locations are brought up just by typing in the letters / numbers of an address location.
Apparently this isn't the case with Android's flavor of Google Maps. Why isn't this history being brought down from Google servers? The only history I'm getting is... well... the history of the searches I'm doing on my G1 itself. This is a disappointment seeing how I would have to eventually reenter the same addresses that I have typed up manually. This should be updated ASAP seeing how it seems like an easy fix. :\
Spring is upon us! Woo hoo!!

Its news to me that your searches were saved on their servers, I always thought all of that was saved on the local machine.
I really wish the G1 maps application had the ability to give you driving directions that avoided highways and tollways. I know AndNav does this, but it will only give you directions if you've got a GPS signal.
