Good deal for anybody looking to buy G1 without contract (ebay)

Currently if you go to www.live.com and search for something (I used sony ps3), an advertisement comes up saying that you will get 30% cash back if you purchase one on ebay with a Buy It Now and pay with paypal through Microsoft Live. I just clicked onto ebay through that link and a banner shows up on the top of your screen showing 30% cash back through Microsoft Live. I found a G1 for $400 BIN with free shipping, and at the checkout it showed that I will get $120 cash back. I paid through paypal and registered with Microsoft Live, but after 60 days I will get $120 cash back, resulting in a G1 without contract extension or upgrade fee for $280 brand new. Thought I'd share this with anybody else in the same position as me, not wanting to pay ~$330 for the phone plus adding two years to my contract.

Please be careful about encouraging our members to search eBay for a highly sought-after phone that hasn't even been released yet.

We don't want to run into the same issues as a certain i...phone. People being scammed left and right.

Definitely be sure to check the feedback and everything before making purchases, but there are definitely some legit sellers as well.

I totally agree with snoslicer8 above.

With today's economy the way it is, we would not want any of our fellow AC members getting scammed out of their hard earned money.

We appreciate your ideas on how to get a new G1 for cheap without a contract. However scams on the internet are just way to risky and evident for any phone that is not released, but being sold already.
