If you don't want to get charged for the second one refuse delivery of one and accept the other.
Okay, so i was thinking I'd go easy on New World and not make a thread for myself specifically... but eh, what the heck, i'm a moderator on another forum... i'm allowed to have a little fun and mess with the mods on this forum (just so we can share the joy).
Alright, for those of you that remember my other thread.. ."Glitch in the system", I ordered 2 G1's on accident by fault of my own paranoia.
I ordered the first on 9/24 after debating for a day whether or not to make the plunge, then on 10/1 i went ahead and ordered again cause i could see they were still giving me the discounted price of 179 and i thought my first order hadn't gone through...
I spoke to a customer service rep at T-mobile and she told me the first one was cancelled... and the one i was going to receive was the one i ordered on the latter of the 2 days... october 1st.
Well, i woke up at 6:50 this morning... stretched... opened my eyes.. fumbled for my glasses... grabbed my laptop and checked UPS...
I GOT MY TRACKING INFO!!!
well, here's the thing... it looks like i have 2 incoming packages...
could the lady have been lying to me? Was she mistaken? Will I get charged for the second phone?
TSquared... i think that's your username... if you see this you have a PM.
If you don't want to get charged for the second one refuse delivery of one and accept the other.
Thanks for the info, my following post has nothing to do with what we talked about in PM, but thought I would throw it out there. IF you have one comming at a discount price, and one at retail, does it matter which one you accept and which one you refuse as far as billing goes. What if you refuse the cheaper one but keep the retail one? I'm not sure if they have actually assigned the price to a particular phone, but you might want to check that out. Just thinking forward, take it for what its worth.
...and the trees are all kept equal by hatchet, axe, and saw............RUSH
I actually have a similar situation. I ordered one using my upgrade for $299 and a week later noticed my wife was eligible for upgrade at $179 so I ordered it again using her upgrade. I have the tracking # associated to each account's phone (using track by reference) and I will accept the one on her line and refuse the one for my line.
So ya, i um "accidentaly" tried your little glitch.. it's confirmed by t-mo to me that i do infact have two phones comming to me. Under the same number and for the same upgrade; both at $179. One on the 22nd, one on the 10th (to two separate addresses). So i think your CRS was mistaken. I would wait untill you got your packages, then call and 'only' confirm what your cost for the shimpents was and leave it at that. If number 2 is $299-$399, you can still return it within 14 days.
or sell it on e-bay??? will they both get billed at the $179 price?
when i was growing up you what my parents told me? they said... "son nothing is free in america." so yeah your gonna get charged for the 2nd phone![]()
I've done the same 2 phones one upgrade. One ordered on the 26th and the other on the 4th. I've tried to confirm the with the reps that the second doesnt conflict with the first but, we will see.
Has anyone who ordered on the 26th or later recieved confirmation yet. Because, I havnt =(
i ordered the 24th of september and the 1st of october...
when i talked to a rep the 3rd time she said they took off one of the orders, and that i was only getting one.. and it would be the 2nd of the orders i placed.. which was the 1st.. if you ordered the 2nd on the 4th.. i'm afraid you might not be getting it until the 10th of november.
