When my husband and I had our Dashes, this happened occasionally. I don't think it's happened on our G1's, though. I'd suspect network issues with T-Mo. Is it more prevalent in certain areas of your travels than others?
Alright, I've deleted all the messages on the phone so I know that shouldn't be the problem... but the problem is the other person will send a text and i'll receive it 10 mins or more late! WTF! why is it doing this? I have more than 3 bars always and it does this all the time.

I second the network issues, I can't really see any reason that android would delay the message. If the messages showed up but you were not notified that would be one thing, however since the network pushes messages to your phone as they are recieved rather than your phone pulling them from the network then the phone shouldn't be causing the delay.
I have had occasional network issues like this. Usually when receiving texts from another network. Ie: verizon and sprint. Also.. the lack of picture save in mms is is an irritation for me but ill live.
I have been an avid linux user for a few years now, the beautiful thing about our community is that someone will always be out there innovating new ideas to improve the system... becaue they can.
