Wait a while more apps to come. All were taken down recently. Hopefully just for maintenance.

thanks
But my real problem is WIFI, how do i get it to work??
I dunno about your wi fi issue, I'll leave that to someone else.
If you're not sure how to import your contacts from your sim card open contacts, hit menu button, select settings, then sim contacts importer.
thanks alot bro contacts are all here!!
but sadly wifi still 'disconnected'
After you scan for networks did it ask you for a user name and password?
Edit: a shorter password seems to work, rather than the hexadecimal key, see this thread:

Another thing to check for is if your network has a mac address restriction list. If it does, you have to add the G1's mac address to it.
Here's the help section for Wi-fi for the G1.

On my network, I have a MAC restriction list so that even if someone DID know the password, they still wouldn't be able to get on unless I allow them to. So I have to add my phone's MAC to my router's whitelist to connect.
However, I still can't connect.
Something that bugs me is the phone options for WEP. It doesn't say if it's WEP64 or WEP128, but I assume it determines which one to use by the length of the passcode string. My setup is WEP128 and the passcode is the full length the router would allow -- 13 alphanumeric characters (26 if entered in hex). Something else that bugs me is the router lets me put the passcode in any of four slots, and when I connect a computer to it, I have to send not only the passcode, but which slot it's in... The G1 gives me no such option.
I have like 8 computers that connect to this network, and two of them are Vista. As much of a PITA as Vista was to configure, I am *NOT* changing my network just to get the G1 on. I'd rather buy a used router and leave it almost wide open just for the G1.
It will detect there is a network, but no matter if I enter the key as 26 hex chars or 13 alphanum chars, it just won't connect (and I'm wondering if there is a way to tell it in the key which slot it's in, but the G1 instruction manual was worthless in this regard)
I hate how you have to "forget" the network just to edit it.
I'd really like to get this working -- I wanted WiFi in the device because we're not in a T-mobile 3G area. I've got Edge, which is okay, but would prefer better.

THIS GUY ROCKS! Loving his ROM so far! And for some reason, THIS impressed me!
with that many computers hooked up are you sure your ISP is providing you enough IP's to run another address on it? I had this problem when we had 4 computers and 2 360's and a PS3 running in my apartment, discovered we only were given 6 IP's so we can't have everything running at once or it conflicts.
You really shouldn't have a problem with IP addresses as any modern cable/dsl router is really a NAT router that will usually allow you to have up to 254 devices attached without a single problem while only having one IP from the ISP. Check to see if you have the correct password and whether or not you have a MAC whitelist set up.
I had no problems connecting it to my wifi, and I have a rreeeeaaaallllyyy long passphrase on mine. Connected WPA quickly and easily.
