G1 Ringtone

I have downloaded MP3's used as ringtones. In the car, using Ford Sync, when the phone rings it just uses a generic ringtone, not the one selected. No big deal, just wondering what's wrong.

long press on the song in the music player a little meny comes upp that has "use as ringtone"...

Speaking of ringtones...does anyone have any links to where I can get "normal" ring tones. Like the default Nextel tone, Nokia, etc...

I have no problem getting music to play as a ringtone, only when it rings through the car it isn't the ringtone I selected, it is just a generic ringtone from the phone.
