I don't think we can do this. The OS wants us to "Star" our contacts that we want added to the favorites tab instead of holding dialer numbers down.
Does anyone know how to set your phone contacts to quick dial, such as when you hold down the #1 on the dialer screen and it calls your messages? I've looked all over and don't see in posts about it.

That's understandable, but it has to be able to be done if you can do it with the #1, right?
I would like to see an app that can give you a shortcut on the desktop to call whatever number it is. So you can bypass the whole phone part untill you push this button.
Maybe the anycut can do this I dont know??? I guess ill try it out.
Any cut does that.
Btw- how are we supposed to dial VOICEMAIL on this thing?
voice command "call voicemail"???
You can't even do the 1 <TALK>, let alone press and hole the 1 key.
Other than that, it's back to the old standby Any Cut.

Or mine is set to dial 123 and it goes to voicemail.
If you go to Menu->Settings->Call Settings->Voicemail you can see (and set) the voicemail number, just in case you are using a different service for voicemail, like youmail. Create a contact in your contacts with that number and the create a direct dial shortcut to that number on the desktop. There's probably an easier way, but it works for me.
