G1 not bricked but not right

turn it off for a couple hours than try again later . does it charge ?

the only other reasons i could think why it would behave like this besides some sort of corruption is from moisture or overheating .

yeah it still charges, red light comes on.

i think your phone will be ok . it powers , charges and you have recovery . we just need to figure out what went wrong . i will definately be back to this thread . im going to brainstorm on this .

If you have any thought that it got wet put it in a bowl of uncooked rice. It will pull all that wetness out. I got pushed in a pool with my G1 in my pocket and I was sure that it was toast but the rice thing took care of it.

Absolutely right . Put the battery separately, from the phone in , the rice . The phone also . If you think it could be moisture .
