    Default G1 & tesco mobile?

    Hey guys,

Just got a G1, it was brand new and locked to T Mobile, bought the unlock code and entered it all fine...

....and that is as far as i can get, I need the info for the APN (i guess?) for it to work. I have a Gmail account but it refuses to work (just gives me the "there is a problem...." bs)

I use to be able to access the internet (post on facebook and surf the web) on my other phone so i guess i have data package, but i have no real clue.

I've also read that tesco use's o2, so i should use o2's APN. But that doesn't seem to be working.

Please help guys, been at this since 2pm and its driving me insane

Ok, so does it work as a phone, ie. calls and text messaging? Have you tried calling tesco support? Have you done a search for their APNs?

    Quick update:

It wouldn't even activate with my Tesco sim card in, so I borrowed one of my parents sims (o2 pay and go) and I've been able to activate the phone. It works as a phone, can send text messages and make phone calls/, recieving call/texts is fine also.

I have a feeling its just in the apn settings, which are set to o2 atm. Which is why i guess it worked with a o2 simcard.

So anyone know the right apn settings for tesco mobile?

Wow thank you, that seems to have solved the issue. I tried those setting before and nothing.

Sorry to hijack this thread - but where did you get the unlock code from, how much was it, and how was it used/entered? Can you please describe the process?
