For Those who ordered G1 online already...

After yo uordered it did you receive a confirmation e-mail? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago but never received one and wasnt sure if I was supposed to. I hope the order went through.

Another question. I have a sidekick 3 right now.Will my sim card from my sk3 transfer to my G1 and will it transfer everything such as contacts notes to do lists etc..?

I didn't receive any conformation. So I called T-Mobile to confirm my order. I'm pretty sure that your contact information won't transfer. At these that what I've come to conclude with but I could be totally wrong. I think the G1 uses something called google contacts.

i think all sim cards are standard size. i've used mine on different phones, including an iphone.

I didn't receive either. I actually talked to a T-Mobile rep yesterday and she confirmed for me that my pre-order was in. She also stated that they have had some issues with their confirmation messages getting sent out.

I'd say dial 611 on your T-Mobile phone and give them a quick ring though just to be safe

I ordered my phone Sept 23rd at 1Pm (right after the live webcast when the site went live).
Took almost 3 hours but I finally got my order in.
I received a confirmation email the next day saying that my account would be charged $179 + upgrade + taxes (+- 205).
What was weird tho was that after I ordered it, it wouldnt let me order another saying my upgrade was in progress. The next day I tried again and it allowed me to upgrade but for $299 not $179. So I was told, thats because I already upgraded so if I wanted to buy another, thats the new price.
Now if I log in again it shows me that I CAN upgrade for $179? Weird.
Either way, Ive called T-Mobile at least 5 times and they assured me my order was on their screen and gave me a confirmation number.
So my suggestion is to call TMo and get that CF # just in case
Not that it would really help or make a difference, if it dont come in.... Ill be pissing in the wind anyways

I had to call Cust Svc for a confirmation number after I ordered.

The only thing that will transfer to the G1 from your sk are the contacts saved on your sim. Nothing else will transfer.

All I received was a confirmation text message. No confirmation email yet. But I have already called them a couple of times to confirm my order, so I'm not that worried.

Hmmmm, if you are a member of T-mobile webside, and you are loggen in, than in the top right corner of the webside it should show you what phone you got. I did not receive any confirmation but the picture of my old phone (Blackberry Pearl) has changed to a picture of G1. So I guess everything is all right.

No confirmation so I called and got it. I keep changing my phone in MY Tmobile to the G1 but it keeps changing it back to the Sidekick. Maybe because of the communication tools or because it is the black one and I ordered bronze?
