For us, the problem was solved by resetting the phone and starting from scratch with the log-on-to-your-social-networks dialogue. Everything works fine now. Seems like for us, the issue came from trying to do the login to flickr at a later stage.

    cheers

    Hi all.
I am using a HTC Hero on Vodafone and cannot access Flickr at all from either the album page tab or the flickr account tabs on contacts.
i have tried following the above thread and reset the phone and reset it to factory defaults and tried to set it all up again but i am still getting the same message of content control when i try to log in. Has anyone got any ideas on this as a reset is not helping matters at all and i cant keep loosing all my data. Thank you all so much in advance.

Having the same problem here. I've also tried the reset, factory reset, and the https to http fix, but no luck.

I just got the HTC hero with sprint in the US. I had trouble logging through the facebook app or getting it to sync in contacts.

I got it working by some combination of persistence and wiping out everything stored in the browser. IE opened browser->menu->more->settings->reset to defualts. Not really sure thats what fixed it, or why; but right after I was able to use the facebook app to login and was able to login to sync info to my contacts. Didn't have to wipe the whole phone.

I believe all of you login via facebook and tweeter through wifi.. However I realised that the 1st login to flickr needs to be via GPRS. After the 1st login confirmation you are allowed to update flickr via wifi. Depending on the speed of yr gprs(3G or 2G), it might takew a little longer than wifi.

With this hope every1 can enjoy flickr updates.. Please tell me if this helps. Thanks
