FLASH question - HTC - mytouchslide

Ok im nb, but on my T-mob HTC MyTouchSlide - under Manage Applications there is a "FlashLite Plugin" (by htc) as well as "HTC Flash Player" -- which im assuming is for flash video -- but cant figure out how to utilize it - copied some flash files onto phone - and tried using file manager to use defualt app for that file type to no avail, also installed skyfire browser that supposedly permits flash but cant get that part of the app to work either - i know full flash avail on 2.2 froyo - but is there anything i can do now to at least have some flash support with 2.1 -- will the hw of this phone even support flash (be fast enough for vid processing)? what re these apps for if i cant have flash - must have some purpose ?

Flash files? I was under the impression that Flash on these devices was for the browser-surfing only.

is that a rhetorical question? I thought flash is flash -- perhaps im overestimating these devices... but even flash videos from the web dont work - ? shouldnt it stream in the video? s there a good site i can go on the web to rally test my phone so see whats going on - that has a few types of embedded media such as flash, etc? perhaps its a hw limitation of the phone...?
