He's been getting some questions on the other forum (where he posted the review). Here is an answer regarding more detail on his experience with downloads (thought you guys would like as much info as possible):

As for the downloads, we were all on EDGE, not Wifi. Where I work they have 3 T-Mobile antennas right there in the building, so coverage is better that you'll get just about anyhere, it should be noted. The street view still worked pretty damn good anyway. The images would do the thing where they load in complete but fuzzy, and so you could start playing at that point, and then they would sharpen as the download completed. Considering it is loading 360 degree images, and that we were twirling around immediately which would crash older WM devices and probably this BB due to overloading the processor, and messing with compass mode all at the same time, the EDGE-only experience was amazingly good. When I said downloads are not amazing, mostly meant that you had to wait for the street view images to be totally sharp. You don't wait for anything else on the device, so this stood out.

Thanks for sharing that review. Like everyone else here, I look around trying to find anything new about the G1 while I wait for the 22nd to get here.

    Again, thanks for sharing!

Yep, the G1 is not bulky at all. It looks bulky from the pics, but it's not.

    This is a great review!
