Eris to get update to 2 in 1st qtr 2010

According to Phone Scoop:

Today Verizon Wireless spokesperson Brenda Raney said in an email to Phone Scoop that the HTC Droid Eris will be updated to at least Android 2.0 -- with Google Maps Navigation and Sense UI -- during the first quarter of 2010. Depending on the timing, the Eris may even be updated to Android 2.1. The Droid Eris currently runs Android 1.5.

Wow. I was hoping the Eris got the update along with the other android phones on Dec 11th. Oh well. Good things come those that wait

Maybe we'll get the 2.1 update.

So much for gossip! It is now mid-March, and if your source is correct, the upgrade will occur in the next 2 weeks ROFL LOL LOL

theres a good chance it will, the official 2.1 rom leaked awhile ago for the eris

Read somewhere (VZW Android forums maybe) recently that 2.1 update was now early 2nd Q 2010. Have also read that the Eris will be discontinued thru VZW in April.
