Thread: Email Notifications

    Default Email Notifications

Anyone having a problem with the email app not notifying of new email? The gmail notifications work flawlessly, but the email app does nothing. I have it checked to notify, but nothing.

Mine is the other way around, I have to physically retrieve my gmail, and never see notifications for it (because I have to go in and actually "refresh" the app.) The email app retrieves my mail every 5 minutes like it's supposed to and notifies me whenever there is mail.

I know this really isn't help, persay, but you should really look into fowarding your current email to Gmail. While using Gmail, you can recieve from any email address and send out from any email address.

haha! thats what i do, shoot- i have 4 other g-mail accounts forwarding to my g-mail and all my website mail too. So much easier than trying to keep up with different accounts. I love google for having that service for free!

After the first day my phone stopped checking for my email so I have to go in and download it all myself.

good to know it isn’t just me and maybe there will be a fix...

Although I have added my POP to G-Mail I still like it separate as I use G-Mail for bulk work and like flipping to personal for easy viewing

I have also noticed problems with my Yahoo Mail. My theory is they have intentionally made this buggy to force users into only using Gmail. It makes sense to me but can't say I like it. I don't really care for gmail or the gcalendar.
