All of what issues? This phone is awesome!! Totally worth it. 'Specially awesome to use in wifi hotspots and at home via wifi.
FYI - If you were waiting to walk into a Best Buy to pick this up because your T-moble retailer doesn't sell it - Dont count on it. Best Buy is only selling within a 3G network also. This means some like the entire state of North Carolina will have to see the phone first by ordering it online. With all of this issues that this phone is have, I'm starting to have second thoughts on if it is worth all the trouble.

good title.
not GTFO
the only problem i see is the battery.. like Foreel said AWESOME....no regrets here
trust me its worth it, the only reason it is looking so negative is because you are seeing individual problems and questions when really there are 20 times more people who are just sitting there like i love it i love it i love it,
but its not like every one of those people is going to post a thread saying that.. that would be pointless
my point?
your in a place where seeing negativity is going to occur much more often then seeing the good..
and the good is sooooo gooood
btw my battery is excellent..and i am one of those pull it out every three seconds for a new txt ppl...
Just purchase it online through T mobile, so you get it in about a month or so big deal, the reason most Tmobile retailers and other retailers like best buy might not be selling them in non 3g covereage areas is because, you would be forced to use at best the edge network which is slower than 3g(not by much I should say). Tmobile is expanding its 3 g network to many new markets in the coming months so maybe by the time you get yours more markets will already be live. This phone is not plagued with problems it people that are unwilling to look at with rose colored glasses that seem to have the problem, most minor inconviences are already being solidified by new applications coming out soon to the market.
This is how the launch is with any new platform... iPhone one which is the big favorite to comapre against.. barely even worked at launch and took a good while to get bugs fixed, we are 2 days in.. when they released their big firmware update for iphone at the 2.0 (3g) release, they bricked them all again...
Try to stay open minded and realize this is all a big experiment right now and google with tmobile WILL work everything out in good (likely short) time. many of the things people want are already on their way, and any apparent glitches will obviously be fixed.
People wanted this phone way too much, and made themselves believe that it was going to be a major life changing event that would be perfect out of box. Rediculos to even imagine... if you have ever purchased a hot new device pre-order, you've suffered through this before. In fact every major electronic product, and they are all but fixed now... Every video game system, every major phone, laptop lines, cars, everything..
Be patient, don't buy right into people who are angry because the phone doesn't walk the dog and do the dishes for them (yet).
Thanks for reading my blather.
I apprciate all of your replies - I just think they haven't done a good job as far a information flow.
I went to a t-mobile store and the guy pretty much looked at me as if he hadn't a clue what a G1 was. This was last Saturday. Then I couldn't buy one there because it wasn't a 3G area, but he told me Best buy would be selling it on 10/26/08.
Great - I go to best buy and they tell me that it will only be best buy mobile. I call best buy mobile and find out that only one of them in a 50mi radius is a t-mobile best buy. I call them (monday) and they assure me that they will be selling the phone on sunday.
I called again today just to make sue, and they say "no we are not selling it because of the 3G network" UUUGHG!! Now I call best buy mobile home office and they inform me that they in fact are only selling in 3G areas also. WHATS THE Point!! I can understand t-mobile only selling in selected areas, but best buy is a 3rd party.
Then - I do read these forums and the problems (no matter how minor) are magnified against all of the other problems I am having in getting straight infomation.
Long story long - you cannot walk in and pick up this device in the state of NC. Which basically means that if you don't have one now and you live in NC, you wont see on until sometime next month barring any other issues coming up.
If the edge network is not much slower, then whats the big deal with not selling the phone at all in networks that only have edge?
getting it in a month or so?? if the right information had been release so someone (me) who has been paying attention could follow, I would have ordered one online on day one instead of thinking that I would be able to pick one up at best buy a week later. Why don't you give me your phone and I will give you my new one in a month or so if its really no big deal?
