    Default Disable G1 voice dialer

Is there a way to disable the G1 voice dialer? It goes off alot whenever I go to answer/make a call and gets rather annoying. Or atleast map it to a different button then the green send button.

You're pressing the call button too long, solution: don't press it too long.

Cupcake update had something about improving voice recognition.

    Hopefully, it will improve it.

Compared to my BB, the voice recognition is aweful. Considering how well Goog 411's voice recognition works, you'd have thought that Google would have decent voice recognition on their phone OS.

you guys must not speak english clearly. My voice dialer works great. i could even say 10 numbers and it'll recognize it perfectly.

The Cupcake update will allow voice dialer to open applications as well.

Recently, I heard of a toll-free service by Justdial, that runs on similar lines as the 1800GOOG411 service. When I called up to test the service, I realized it was nothing like the Google service. Where Google is an automated service, at Justdial my call was answered by a human voice, and within 60 seconds my queries were answered. The service is very fast and definitely reliable.

You want to use dialer for your routine use or for some specific use? If you can use DIALER ONE for your routine use it has good results. But If you use your mobile for your business for business calling or you are a sales person, you must use MY SALES DIALER as this is really fantastic and app for people using their mobiles for their business. Both applications available for free on android market.

It would be nice if someone would answer this question. I want to disable it (OEM dialer on LG Spectrum) and use something more user friendly. This ''DUMB" dialer pops up when I wish to use my Headset and I can NOT cancel it.
Plus, I CANNOT EVEN use my wife's name in the contact list. She has a 'French' Name and it refuses to reconize it.
I sure miss my old Nokia voice tags. I could speak the correct word and it work WORK !!!
