Dash Charger compatible with G1????

Okay, I looked at both chargers and these are the specifications on them:

input: 100-240 ~0.2A
output: 5V---1A 50-60Hz

both are identical. Does that mean I could use my Dash charger as my spare charger for work on the G1?

uuuummm yea? you can use any mini usb charger that fits, especially all htc chagers. i use blackberry, razr and all types of chargers on my phone. i have em in like every outlet at home and work. hope this helps. lol

Thats not true, just cuz they fit dosent mean you can use them, they dont put out enough power and it will royaly mess up yo battery..........look it up there is another thread about all chargers are not made equall

A TomTom One charger works as well. Use it quite a bit for my Dash when I need a charge in the car.

Here's some words of advice. Don not use anything but the included charger and usb cable with your G1. Not only are you risking damage to your phone and battery, but you are also not getting a good charge. All chargers are made differently. If you must, use chargers and usb cables wih similar specs. I used my old HTC Dash charger and while doing so, it seemed like my G1 was going through battery power real fast.

yeah the reason I asked is because some people had pointed out that you needed to make sure it put out the same amount of power if not it would mess up the battery. And the reason I asked is I would do the same thing, I used my razr charge for my dash, and for other electronics, but I want to make sure not to mess up the G1's battery. any official answer on this? thanks for the input. peace

well thats why I ask, because the specs on the chargers from the dash and G1 are identical homie. so I wanted to know if I could use them instead of dropping some extra dough and having to wait until the "official" (don't know how to refer to it lol) G1 charger is on sale. feel me? thanks
