just something i found while searching at googleandblog, so don't get your hopes up guys from "Dianne" if you ever read the code.google forums.

The only facts I can give you is the very public fact that Cupcake is pre-alpha and thus would not be released at the end of the month. I don’t know what the “elements of Cupcake” are.There has been ongoing localization work that is not part of Cupcake, which is needed to allow shipping of devices in more countries, so that could certainly ship before. Some bug fixes and small app changes could ship before. But any of the major Cupcake features? No.
