Default Couple questions for the G1, new owner as of yesterday... Please help!

I just purchased two G1's for my girlfriend and I lastnight. Got the family plan + 2 unlimited data plans (1 for each phone). The phone is awesome and everything seems to be working fine... Except for the "internet".

I don't quite understand this, but the internet was working a bit lastnight as I was able to download some apps, sign on to AIM, and check out BoA Online Banking.

Now I'm not quite sure of this, but why does my gMail work, BoA Online Banking works, but the INTERNET browser doesn't work, AIM doesn't sign online anymore, and I can't access the marketplace anymore for apps.

How does gMail and BoA work, but the "internet" doesn't? I'm lost...

Call T-mobile. They might have dropped your data plan. You wouldn't be the only one this has happened to. I called them when it happened to me and I got service back in a couple of hours.

I'm looking at My T-Mobile online and it shows I have it in my plan.

    Call them.
    ONline says different sometimes..

The same exact thing happened to me and i had to call them and verify that the data plan was what I really wanted it and they fixed it on the spot.

Just ask them if you're on it and they'll let you know.

    It's called a G1

I just called, and I did in fact have both phones, each with unlimited data plans.

I was then transferred to Blackberry/PDA assistance. The rep told me to switch over to 2G aka EDGE Network only for a split second to see if my data worked then, and to my surprise everything was working 100%.

After that, she told me to power down the phone, wait about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. All this while still being on the 2G/EDGE Network. After the phone powered up and everything, she had me check my data once again by browsing the internet/check the marketplace/IM/etc. It all worked! She then said to wait 1 second while she refreshes my data connections on her end, after she did that, she told me to switch back over to 3G by turning off 2G/EDGE Network only. After I switched back to 3G, I went to go test everything out again, and it all works 100%.

Perfect! I love how I have 4 full bars 90% of the time for 3G, living in Los Angeles.
