Contact images

I have been trying to attach pictures to my contacts and can't seem to get it to work. I have done both attaching them from my contact lists and attaching them from my picture menu. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.

Contacts > Pick a contact > Menu Edit contact > Menu add icon > Pick a picture > Save > Save.

That doesn't work?

2 other ways...

long press on the picture > set as > contact icon

and...

I did alot of mine directly from my pc...go into your google account > contacts (have to have sync turned on from your phone...and they will show up after you sync)

I just looked for pictures on ppls facebook and myspace profiles for a picture I wanted to use

agentaaron-trying to sync with google, having some problems with that now too. Going to work on that and see what i can come up with. Thanks again.

This may sound odd, but I was having issues doing this as well until I realized I needed to unplug my G1 from my computer before adding the images. Not sure if that helps!

a quick question... if i sync my contacs with Gmail after i put pictures on all my contacts, will the pictures also be synced? for example if i by a new android phone later and sync my contacs with gmail, will the pictures still be there? if so, it´s AWSOME! =)

Some of my pictures sync between gmail and my phone. I normally just take a pic of someone just for the contact picture. Not sure why only some sync and some do not.

The contact must have an email address.

If you set a picture to a contact without an email address, it will not show.

If you subsequently add an email address, the picture appears out of nowhere.
