Cancel plan/Add plan without ordering g1?

Heres the deal... my mom's acct is eligble for the $179 upgrade, while im still under contract until April. So, id like to order the phone on my moms acct, and cancel the data plan as soon as I can from her account.

I already have my $20 blackberry plan, can I use it? If not, if her g1 plan is canceled, can I add the G1 plan to my account, without having ordered the phone?

I'd assume I will be able to do this, but im not positive.

Im selling my iphone tommorow and hope to place the G1 order, dont mind waiting the extra time.

Order it on her plan, cancel the data package.

Put your sim in the phone and see if it works with the Blackberry plan (it should).

If you are going to insure it, make sure you call T-Mobile and let them know.

sorry to say but no it cant be done... ive tryed doing something to that effect and a t-mobile rep told me no. try calling t-mobile and speak to a rep maybe they will do something for you but it aint work for me.

Yes are able to have your mom order the g1 under her account and you can have the data plan transfer to your number. I have use other t-mobile phone that was order by someone else did not have a promblem with customer service at all. just have your mom order phone for the better discount there is nothing wrong with that. here is an example my daughter phone went and I did not want to order a phone because we had like 3 months to go before I was eligible for a full discount so my nephew had a sidekick that he was not using so he gave it to my daughter all i did was call customer service and let them know I had a sidkick the my nephew gave to my daughter and customer serivice help me reset phone so she can be able to use.
