New to Android but wanted to do this and found the solution...

Go to contacts / people, select groups, then select the group you want to text. At the bottom there's an icon that looks like a small dot with three arrows, click this and you'll see options to "Send group message" or "Send group email".

Select the option you want and hey-presto, a group text

Right heres what to do:
When composing a message u would noramlly start to type someones name in the top, when the right person no. is there u tap on it and then it directs u to the message typing area. Now to add more people...go back to the part where u just entered the name or no. and start to do the same thing as before...keep doing this until everyone u want is in the message!
