Can You send a Group Text Message??

Does anybody know how to send a text message to a group or all your contacts?

My first text on the G1 was a group message to 3 of my friends saying I got the phone. Go to create a new sms and then start typing in the name of your contacts, after each one it automatically puts a comma and you can add another contact, and another, etc.

Right, we can enter multiple numbers, but I believe his question was pertaining to sending a message to the pre-saved groups in your phone. Example: In gmail when composing an e-mail I can type in "Family" in the "TO" section and it will automatically enter in everybody's e-mail in that group. Is there a way to do that with text messages?

There's no reason why you should not be able to send an sms to a Group. Anyone have a group set up and want to give this a try?

I've tried typing in "family" into the "to" section of the text message and the phone doesn't recognize it, I wonder if there is another way to do it? I've also pushed the menu button while in the text message and it didn't give me the option there either..

there must be a quicker way.... and whats the point of groups if you can't send to a group.

I've tried entering the group name but it doesn't recognize it...

Sorry, I misunderstood. I'm not sure about saved groups.

hmm can't find nothing on it. synced groups, went to groups not seeing it. I would like that too
