I currently have a BlackBerry plan that gives me unlimited texting / data and 1000 anytime minutes.
Is there any way that I can use that with my G1?
It seems like that is a better deal than whatever else TMobile is offering with the G1.... am I figuring this all out wrong?
thanks!

"I'm shocked at the diversity of the people psyched for the G1. All different people united...under Android"
I forgot to add that I already asked a customer service rep and she said no.. On the other hand she didn't seem to know much of anything.. For instance I told her I once had the SideKick plan on my T610 (normal phone) and she said that was impossible.
I'm asking this forum because maybe someone here knows the 'magic words' I have to say to get to the right people.

the situation on bb is different from total internet, which I am using
you may be required to completely switch your voice plan along with G1 data service
CS told me G1 data service can be used with other phones (as modem) or data cards, I think bb is excluded as it requires dedicated APN
wap or epc APNs don't connect to BIS

Ok so I currently have a flex plan with t-mobile, so that means I can only change whatever current talk/data plan at the end of the month when my bill is due. I got a G1 off ebay and am gonna get it tomorrow, my question is.....Can I just insert my sim card from my blackberry curve into the G1 and atleast use my voice minutes and SMS texts? and possibly get online with my G1 using my current blackberry data plan until my current cycle is up and can switch to the G1 plan? any answers would be greatly appreciated
Yes, I think you can. You just definitely won't be able to browse the web or connect to the market or anything, except maybe over wifi. Good luck, enjoy the phone
well im in an interesting situation, where basically my g1 has my blackberry sim card in it (paid for by work)
and i went to wireless settings, scrolled to t-mobile us
then changed the apn to wap.voicestream.com and clicked ok.
everything is working with my g1, in terms of data. i only get edge and i live in a great 3g area, but it works for me for now.
im not sure if i have the 20 bb data plan or the one u have. try that out and see if it works
