Camera and Camcorder don't work

Okay, so I got the new update 3 days ago and since then I cant use my camera and camcoder.
When I try to open the camera it gives me a black screen and after several seconds it gives me this message: "The application Camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
When I try to open the camcoder on the other side, it gives me a black screen with a video button at the corner.
I powered off the device several times hoping, this will fix the problems since I read that this worked for some users, but nothing..
Then I did one factory reset after another and still nothing..
Downloaded SnapPhoto to see if just the stock camera wasn't working but SnapPhoto also gave me an error.

***Note: I remember that after I updated the application ShopSavvy for the last time, my camera stopped working and ShopSavvy never worked again for me. This was before "Cupcake" to come out.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Please help!

Maybe you need to do a wipe. Turn off your phone. Hold down home + power button at the same time. Then you might see an exclamation mark screen. Press alt+L, then it will taje you to some options where you want to press alt-W for the wipe option. This will erase your apps, text messages and stuff. You'll have to log into your google account again just like when you bought it.

If you wiped the phone and it was back to factory spec, and the camera continued to not work, it sounds like a hardware issue.

Sounds almost like me and my ADP1 although my camera is working but not the camcorder. I just I installed JF1.51 and instead of the problem you're describing I now instead get a message saying the camera application stopped unexpectedly and I can only force it to close.

Omg, I have the same error message. My G1 is so slow too. All my video files from the camcorder have grey boxes instead of a pic from the frame of the video. I am just glad to know that I am not thre only one. Texting is so slow...frustrated

For what it's worth, I downloaded shopsavvy recently before getting this same error. I decided to remove it and still had the problem and then I reset (removed battery) which then resolved this error for me. Perhaps the reset would have done it, but I'm skeptical of shopsavvy.
