Broke my G1, transferring to a new G1

Help! I dropped a dumbbell on my G1, and now I can only see approximately 1/5th of the screen. I am picking up another used G1 today, and I need to figure out the best way to transferred to the new phone.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I just trade out my sd and sim cards and be good to go? Will my paid apps, data, etc. also transfer if I do this?

Any advice would be great!

Paid apps / Contacts will transfer with your Google account. Transferring your apps out, well you can load up ADB (if you're rooted) and be like

adb remount
adb pull /system/data/ C:\BackUp\

I think that's where the apks are for apps.

Unfortunately I'm not rooted, and I can only see a tiny portion of the existing screen, not enough to do much of anything on it.

Uh... what? You're going to have to put the SIM card into your new phone. Your apps are not stored on SIM or the sdcard, they are in the phone.

I see, I thought the apps were on the SD card. I guess I'll start by putting my old sim and sd card in the new phone. For the paid apps, will they be automatically downloaded, or can I just go to the market and re-download them and it will not ask me to pay again?

transfer the motherboard sim card and sd card and all will be good!

put the sd card and sim card in, sign in to google, then go to the market > my downloads and reinstall your apps they should all be listed.

Right cause an anyone can do that I mean, I know I can (and have) but if he didn't root I doubt he'll do this.
