Best music player and/or audio book player

I use PlayerPro (search "Music Player pro" in market). The strong points of this player in my opinion are the UI and the interactivness. You can switch between different skins (there is a wmp one that is just great !) and different layouts: grid and view.
The player also downloads album, artist and genre art for you. And you can get artist and album information.

Just love it.

You've probably found an audio book player by now, but thought I'd throw out a recommendation for MortPlayer Audio Book by Mirko Schenk. Supports bookmarking, and saves my place - even between invocations. Great app.

You can get it from the Android Market (I have an HTC Incredible using a Lubix wireless stereo headset).

TuneWiki keeps closing force on me cupcakes and I do not run, I think it runs continuously in the background. The album agos some time to charge your Rockoon art high resolution, that's why I do when I have wifi access.

MortPlayer Audio book player is great for audio books! Great widget too. Highly recommended for audio books.

Another great audio book player is "Audiobooks" which gives free access to tons of public domain audio books, I haven't used it much yet since I listed to a lot of books from Podiobooks dot com with MortPlayer, but it looks pretty cool.

One feature I have been looking for is audio compression. This refers to settings where the passages with lower overall volume are increased in volume, and the louder sections are decreased in volume.

It seems the world of Android applications makes this sort of thing a particularly difficult thing to do. Most applications do not have a web site, and the ones that do generally do not have a help file or manual.

corwyn74, it seems that the company that named its audio book player "Audiobooks" didn't anticipate the number of other programs by the same name. At least 3 come up on the Android market. Which one is the one you recommend?

The best music player on Android is without any doubt Music PlayerPro! I tried PowerAmp, mixzing, cubed, lythium, but it's definitely the best! It has many features (tag editor, artist and album art grabber, many browsing types, lyrics, several different playlists, and many more...). It also has 5 home screen widgets and 2 lock screen widgets. It is a very customizable app, you can pick between 9 different skins! The last release is absolutely great, it includes song ratings!
It's the must for Android!
