Ok, so I know everyone has been talking about their battery life. I am not so disappointed. I took my G1 and shoved it on the charger for about 5 hours after I got it. Took it off the charger, 3G enabled, screen brightness about 30% (still bright) and I went to a bunch of different websites, sent about fifty texts, made an hour long phone call, downloaded some apps, played a song or two and then checked the battery. All of that and an hour and a half later it had only gone down to 82%. This morning, unplugged it at 8, made another 45 minute call, called someone else for 5 minutes, about 25 texts, and a google map and it is down to 94%. I really dont see the battery issue. Am I just one of the lucky ones?

Battery is going well for me. After playing all afternoon I had slipped down to 49%, charged it back up, played all evening and around 2 a.m. let it rest (have not adjusted many settings ...GPS was off, wifi on, brightness not adjusted, etc.) and I had plenty power this a.m. I just checked...62% -- that's with no charging since yesterday's recharge.
I can't complain.

ASUS eee Pad Transformer en route!! T-mobile G2 in hand, N1 on loan to my daughter. G1 on ice.
Yes, precious...my Transformer is almost here...now if only T-mobile would roll out Gingerbread for my G2 already!!
Sold, but I want your battery too. You can keep your first born though, this I will grant you.
I found screen brightness to make a huge diff. Also keeping 3g off and using 2g until I need it helps a great deal.
There are just so many variables that contribute how long a battery lasts between recharges. No two G1 phones are going to be exactly the same. Although they are all made to be equal as far as power consumption efficiencies goes, there is going to be some variance between phones.
Things that contribute to battery life span
-The phones it’s self (how efficient it is with power consumption)
-The phone settings themselves (Brightness, if you’re using 3g, Gps turned on,)
-The battery (lots of variances between G1 batteries
-How far you are to the cell towers
Just to name a few but of course there is more…a lot more.
hmm, ya i havnt had any huge issues, it goes down moderatly with high use. Still not amazing but its dealable.
yea, i'm finding that i'm having issues with battery life, but then again, I can't put the thing down. Not really many calls, but steady Downloading and messing with apps
