Default android.process.acore - what the fudgecakes?

I just recently did a system update last night and suddenly everything I do generates an error with android.process.acore and I have to force close it.

Upon doing so I either get stuck at a black screen or back at the desktop and my icons take forever to reload.

I did a factory reset and still having the same problem. What the hell causes this and what the hell is the "acore" process anyway?

Any help would be appreciated, this is driving me crazy

i really cant tell you why you are getting them , or what they are . theyre the dreadful acores ! but , what i can do is tell you how to get rid of them ! you need to reupdate your phone manually . you need to download this file , http://android.clients.google.com/up...1.c41b93c1.zip , rename it update . put it on the main part of your sd card . stick the sd in the phone . power the phone up pressing the home and power buttons together . keep pressing the home for 5 more seconds . when you get to the screen with the exclamation point , press alt+L . this will bring up the menu . press alt+w to wipe the phone , then press alt+s to update . after reboot . this should scare away those nasty acores

I am having the same problem:

I downloaded the .zip, renamed it update.zip, followed your instructions until this happened:

the last lines say it is:

    Verifying update package....
    Installation aborted

    did I do something wrong??

Well I verified that the popular widget "MoneyTracker" was the culprit - upon further investigation I discovered that MoneyTracker doesn't like 1.6(Donut)

From what I understand Google seemed to have sprung 1.6 on all the Devs without much warning or time to prepare.
