Activation/Sim

So how do i activate this phone once i receive it? its my first tmobile, that a first phone with a SIM card.
DO i just open it and insert the sim? do i have to call in? Please fill me in xD

Once you get the phone, you will know. I know you are excited but don't open so many useless threads.

As long as you have the required G1 Data Plan, once you plug in the SIM card, turn it on and you'll get a setup wizard to enter you gmail account or create a new one. That is what "activation" means for the G1.
