Accelerometer broken..?

Ok, so none of my apps which I have that utilize it work now. Street View with compass mode won't even budge, apps like The Schwartz unleashed, or games like PapiJump which I always play cannot utilize it anymore.

It just happened. I tried to play PapiJump, and I couldn't move the character left or right. I them immediately went to Street View with Compass...and nothing. And so on.

I'm assuming they'll just swap it out?

how exactly is one supposed to "shack" their phone?

before you call them try the ole restart. then they'll ask you do it again anyway.

but if it's broken, I suspect they will.

I did use a case with a magnet for a little while a few weeks back, which used to kinda freeze up the compass, but the trick of tapping the phone always worked. I eventually decided to ditch the case, and had no problem since really...except for now.

Just got off the phone with them, my new G1 is coming in in a couple of days.

Anyone know if they come with a new mem stick and battery? Or do I keep my old one? I'm guessing everything will come with it, and I ship all of my old stuff back.

...damn, I forgot to ask them, are they shipping me a new G1 or a damn refurb?

Wow...

They're shipping out a refurb. I'm basically getting someone elses broken ****ing phone which has been 'fixed'.

Good thing I have 3 days left to cancel my contract. I'm calling back and asking for a brand new one, or canceling my service. I will not get dragged into the cycle of going through used/refurb phones. I paid for a brand new phone, and if it breaks within 30 days, I will not accept a damn refurb.

edit: **** me. You have 14 days to cancel a contract instead of 30. Now shes saying I can't even do that without paying the termination fee. I'm on hold to speak to a supervisor.

edit 2: No choice but to get the refurb. The whore of a supervisor couldn't change it to a new phone, or not charge me the ETF. They said that if my phones were to keep breaking, then they'd give me a new one. This refurb better be as good as new, if not better.

If you're getting it on warranty, most likely a refurb.

Yeah a refurb. But what happen to me was when I called in about my Shadow, cause it wouldnt turn on, they sent a BRAND NEW one, but just the shell, nothing else, and I can prove it was a new one because the keyboard was fresh, screen was fresh, the back was fresh... but I wouldn't count on it though... it depends on their inventory.

and then two days later, I got a G1.... I ****ing love my Shadow, if it wasn't for my contract being over,and buying a G1 with contract renewal, I'd still use it.
