try that website (http://yelpdroid.com/) on your g1 browser when your outside and your gps can get a lock on your location. it really works! promise! all you need to do is type in a query and it'll get results around your location in easy-to-browse mobile format.

it was just a proof-of-concept i wanted to try - it's all javascript.

does someone have a mock up of the iPhone app? i've been trying to come up with an app to write, as my first shot at writing an android app. saw the yelp thing on an iPhone ad and thought it might be a good first start.

use the app "where" it has a built in yelp app that i've found very useful.
