Default Why do some web sites refuse to load in android browser?

I was trying to visit a site this morning and the web page refuses to load fully in the browser its so bad that the little circle spinning in the corner does not even show up anymore. I have checked the site on a desktop pc and it runs fine. The web site also has a mobile version and both are unabable to load properly, so my question is.... does the android browser only support web sites that have been written in certain programming languages? Is C++ something android has a problem with?

Nope, I made sure all my internet settings are correct on the phone including Java script enabled.

A lot of sites block non-verified useragent's. My company blocks any useragent that isn't on a known list. AKA: Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari, Googlebot, etc.

Some sites have ActiveX scripts. That's not going to work on Android just like it doesn't on Firefox.

Some sites have downloadable plug-ins. Whether or not those will work will be up to the developer. Many don't even test on Firefox.

Some use IE-specific features. For a long time, HomeDepot.com wouldn't even work on Firefox (it does now). Some test and die. Some test and do something different for different browsers or versions of browsers. Some assume IE and non-standard html and simply do the wrong thing. Some fail on IE7 whereas they work fine on IE6.

    Web browing is simply ugly.
