VPN access over wi/fi only?

Ok so I know that Cyan's 4.0.1 includes the VPN client from donut but I can't seem to get it to work. It's not even talking to my server. I jacked around with it for a little while and it hit me...Can you only tunnel into a VPN using wi/fi? I've only tried over 3g...It would make sense for T-Mobile to block this protocol in an attempt to not overload their shiny new 3g network (like the amazon app and the video quality of the youtube app). Does anyone have any experience setting up a VPN and actually getting it to connect?

Well I just tried it while sniffing off of the neighbor's router and still no go. Has anyone been able to tunnel over IPSec?

I haven't been able to set this up over IPSec, haven't tried PPTP yet... have you had any luck on your end?

never did get it to work. all my settings are correct but it just wont contact the server. I'm waiting for 2.0 (hoping for a bug fix)
