the virtual keyboard is being worked on supposedly will be out early next year haven't herd anything about a lighter app
I have two app ideas that I would like to see available for the g1 very soon. the first one being an app that will allow you to text using the actual touch screen or the keyboard. I think that would be very nice and out of the two apps I want that one a lot! The second one is an app that I have seen for the iphone which looks like you're holding a zippo. I go to a lot of concerts and that is where I have seen it where people use their phones instead of a lighter on slow songs. I think both of these would be very nice to have. Are either of these already out or can I be expecting either of them any time soon?
Thank you for you time and for readying my post.

alright awesome. thanks for the response.
well I'm getting the t-mobile g1 next weekend and I'm really excited!
everything I've looked at seen and heard of seems great so far.
Ugh I feel so ashamed for posting this.
A good addition to the lighter app would be it records ambient sounds when you use it so all those rocking concert high points with be recorded in just enough quality to remind you what it was like. Kinda like a rock concert diary.
after waiting for the phone. no application will make me want to hold my G1 above my head in a concert.

rock concert diary would be good and some kind of high noise filter so the recording is half decent... ive heard alot of concert recordings that just sound horrific.
nah man don't, virtual keyboard would be useful to many people..
i dont have my G1 yet but soon i will..
answering a text in a lecture would go like this
*phone vibrates*
i look + open text... swing the keyboard around *CLUNK* and the whole room goes quiet....
no but seriously yeah would save time with stuff, im just hoping the keyboard will be good quality as the Gphone aint multi-touch..
