Theme Challenge

Over on XDA I have been organizing a theme competition. This is open to any one and I myself am donating $100 to the prize. I have had many other people interested in donating as well. The final prize will be capped at $200 and all money beyond that will be put towards future competitions. As many of you know we have seen some amazing themes already. My hope is that this will create incentive for designers to really push the envelope and really discover what can be done. I am hoping for many special and amazing themes that will take android customization to a new level. There is no charge to enter, the competition will last one month from the start date. Winner receives 70%, 2nd 20% and 3rd 10%

I got a feeling this is gonna get outta hand(in a good way), cant w8 to see what the devs come up with.

My thoughts are the same. We have seen some amazing things done already as far as themes do. That being said, most of the people creating themes do it in thier spare time and for nothing more than thier own satisfaction and to advance the platform.

I wanted to see what they could do if the really had something to push them. How far can they push the envelope and what amazing things can the design? I am excited about what we'll see, if for no other fact than it has brought Stericson (A.K.A The grandfather of themes) out of theme creation retirement...keep an eye out for some great things.

Damnit, I haven't rooted or dwelved into theme making yet..I'd love to enter this..I've been making backgrounds/themes for sidekicks for years so Im itching to customize my G1. I hope there are more contests like this..I'd love to be able to enter when I'm ready.

I want to learn how to make a theme, not for this challenge, but to make my own custom theme. That way I'll have my own background and theme to rock. Euyea!

Grand Master? The Don? The James Brown of themes? Stericson the Master of all things theme? I can go on...however, if you do not like "grandfather", you must pick a new one.
