    Lightbulb Spreadsheet and Word processing

I need to edit and make new Spreadsheets and Word processing documents.

I think that this would be a good application for some one to make or is there one already????

Does anyone know of an application that I can do this on my G1????

There isn't one as of yet. We need the ability to run/install programs on the sd card, since any program like that will take up a good amount of space.

Is this "ability to run/install programs on the sd card" something that we will be able to do in the future via an update or anything?

I am sure both of these are in the works...keep in mind that everything in the app store is free right now. Applications like these probably will not come out until after the new year when dev's can start charging for their work.

Speaking of which, I just got my phone (less than a week ago). Are there any "must have" applications that you would recommend me installing before they start costing?

Thanks a bunch for any help/suggestions that you may have.

At this point...I have not seen any "must haves" but I do like the following and use them quite a bit. I suppose it really depends on what you use the device for???

    Bank of America
    Weatherbug
    Tunewiki
    Shopsavvy
    SMS screen alert

We need an app that allows for editing of Google Docs.

Unless, for some reason, you MUST have Google Docs, check out UpVise.

Download and install the UpVise program from the Market.

Then, go to www.upvise.com and create an account. They allow you to create multiple Notebooks, with numerous notes in each. Once you enter or create a note on the web, you can access it via your G1 through UpVise app.

You can also create, edit, delete or modify notes on your G1, and the changes take effect automatically on the website.

This is one of my most used and most useful programs! Easily enter lots of text via the website (www.upvise.com), and have it on my G1. Or, I can enter quick notes via my phone, and as long as I'm near a computer and internet access, I can always view and mofidy them!

It's a FREE service, but there is a PRO version which costs $$$.

Also has a Shopping List function, RSS function and other things.

Nice program as well, although it doesn't follow Android protocol completely. Some things you'll need to get used to as to how they work on UpVise (going back, you need to hit a "back" button, instead of being able to swipe right to left, for example)

    Might fit your needs.
