    Default Sirius Satelite radio App

I can access my sirius satellite radio from my computer... and in my car... but I wish I could listen to it anywhere without having to pay $200 for a sirius satelite hand device... If I could go to the gym.. using my Android and get streaming radio.. commercial free and all i needed was to use my existing account log in... meaning any android user on any android device with a sirius account can enjoy their music anytime anywhere...

I'm already working on this. I'm all the way to getting the stream to play BUT I ran into a serious problem with how their online system works. You only get 10 logins per day, then they lock you out for the rest of the day. In my development I hit that limit in testing and now I am stuck untill tomorrow. I have to figure out how to keep the login session open, so if you close the program and re-open it, it doesnt use up one of those logins, or the app will be useless =(

I called sirius and explained the situation, and the guy just kept insisting you CANT listen to sirius "on a cell phone". And they cant reset those login attempts for me.

If I can, I'm going to keep working on it using trial accounts, and hopefully I will have a beta ready to test soon.

An xm one would be nice as well, seeing as they're all one big nice happy company since the hostile takeov....I mean merger.

And they're liars. I know you can get both xm and sirius on cells through various means, though since the revamped the online stations, it's been squirrely at best.

Dude, you can't release that soon enough. Yesterday would be too late. FYI we had the same issue on the WM5 and WM6 phones but we all dealt with it. So if yours is bug free, let the masses have it. I had to stop using the wing about 8 months ago and was forced to use the Curve and miss this application dearly.

The nice thing about the G1 is it will multi task so it shouldn't log us out unless we lose a signal so your current config should be good enough.

Please let me know when and where it is available.

Any update on this application? Do you have a code.google.com site? If not, you should. You should release your current apk if that is the only problem, and let us test for bugs. Create a paypal donation account

well, right now the sirius website doesnt list the channels out in standard html, it uses javascript to build the menu's and so far in android i cant figure out how to get that working correctly. (im using HttpURLConnection if anyone knows).
I might just have to hard code the channels in there for now, and then as i learn more go back and fix it =D . From what I have read and been told, the audio part shouldnt be too hard.

I have started dialog with sirius on this issue too, maybe I can get an endorsement from them and some help with the login issues.

Im also looking for other devs to help with it, so i can get something out quickly. I probably spoke too soon when i posted here earlier

For the channel listing you should look up threads in "Howards Forum" for Sirius WM5. they list all the channels. The discussion might also save you some time with sirius as they are not real willing to work with us phone guys as that might eat into their mobile solution profits.

Just hard wire the channels and maybe have an option to add channels as they come out. It would actually be very cool feature if we could customize our channel list as i personally only listen to about 4 channels.

Please release it we are dying to get this functionality.
