sim port app for netbooks w/ android

With the eventual release of android for netbooks... (it will happen) I thought it would be a great idea for those netbooks with sim card ports to be able to switch in my g1 or android device sim into my netbook and use wifi 3g... basically turn my netbook into a big smartphone... it would not be tethering... since ur using the actual device rather than connecting to it... and it would give android os users an edge that no other os has the capabilty of doing. Use mic as speakerphone... web cam camera... the rest is self explanitory... I would be more mobile with a android netbook than any other if I didn't have to pay extra for wifi plan due to os sim switch capabilty.

I dunno if this should be an app or actual android feature but I think it would be agreat start.

Everytime I'm on my netbook, and I have to have my phone beside me for texts I think of something similar.

I suspect the computer would have to have a spot for the sim card. And I wouldn't want to switch the card out endlessly, but I want it hooked up to my number. So it would have to be something else, either two exact sim cards, which would probably cause some sort of problems with signals and such, so perhaps a forwarding option that you could turn on and off on the computer?

This wont be an app or android feature, and tethering is not just using a cable between your phone and computer it implies using your phones 3g connection by way of wifi or bluetooth to get it to your computer. Anyway you would need to gain root on the netbook, this will happen soon enough as the first netbooks start rolling out this october.
