if English isn't your native language, that's fine. they can do way better than i ever could in another language, except for maybe spanish. (i like that tilde beside the n)

but the statement prior to mine caused me to respond in such a manner. it may take half as much time to write that statement, but i had to read it 3 times to comprehend.

i also understand that languages aren't spoken the same and morph over time. but words, such as the word "this" will always be spelled "this", same for any other word in the English language.

for example: "ths" could be "this", "those","these", etc...taking that extra fifth of a second to push a key eliminates all confusion and helps everyone to communicate clearly.

also, middle school and high school kids can't spell or write worth a damn, mainly because of texts and instant messaging. people that are 25, 30+ now will have a very hard time understanding something like "well dnt wrry u jus wil have to play the waiting game" coming from the present 10, 12, 15 year olds . they (youngsters) also have a hard time expounding on ideas, having in-depth discussions.

and i apologize to swaney29, your statement was the so-called "straw that broke the camel's back", i don't mean to blow up on you. sorry if it seems that way. i just wanted to jump on the soapbox. i'm done.

This has gotten totally off-topic but for what its worth, language does evolve but there is still a standard, proper way to speak and write. You can't dismiss the complete rape of the English language as just being linguistic evolution. It's just laziness coupled with sheer ignorance.

    Typical forum nonsense.

Is there anyone currently working on an Exchange app?

I've mentioned this in a previous post, but I don't think we are ever going to see full Exchange support on the G1. That would require licensing the ActiveSynch API, and I just don't really see that happening.

I know there are a couple ways around using the ActiveSynch API, but I'm a .NET developer, not an Android developer. If I was, I would write that app in a heartbeat. An Exchange app for the G1 is straight money.

Oh and glassmw, if you are as into the Queen's English as you seem, there is a whole set of rules regarding capitilization...check 'em out.

I know this is back off topic but I can't resist.

My question is this: why can't linguistic evolution also be laziness coupled with sheer ignorance? They are two of the same. Deal with it. Evolution will not be curbed or stopped by forum pleas'. The internet is facilitating this evolution and a force equal or greater to it is required to change that. I don't see it happening.

Are you sure? How does Zarafa offer an open source Exchange server without having to fork it over? I am no expert here, just trying to understand.

This isn't an immediate requirement anymore as the financial crisis has rendered my services no longer being needed at my company
