read my thread on amon ras recovery image ! you can do it manually through the terminal in recovery using cyanogens recovery , or do it through the push of one button in amon ras recovery , very easy

this one is specifically made for the dream , or g1 . the others before 1.2.2 were not . you will be fine with this one , ive been using it . and , believe me , i had a hard time leaving cyanogens !

i was staying away from amon ras recovery for a long time , didnt trust it . amon ra cleared up many questions for me , AND is always happy to listen to ideas for improvement . when he released the recovery for the g1 specifically , i jumped all over it and havent looked back since

seems like it still doesnt work 4 my phone keeps messing up my sd card
