it is infact the awd launcher but thats not a bad thing at all it is very much improved. this alpha feels stable already. there r a bunch of apps that are still being added and worked on ( usual cyanogemod included apps )
this rom is going to rock. i hope the 720 p video recording is added in as well (i think its enabled with FRF.83, but don't quote me on that). and by the way if anyone else goes stupid like i did and replaces their amon_ra recovery with the Rom manager recovery. don't freak out. just move Ur old nandroid to the Rom manager nandroid backup folder :-) lol a dumb moment overcomed by logical thoughts lol

not sure yet I'm adding them to my SD card as we speak, just finished my nandroid. so should be soon. XDA there's users reporting having problems with no data service, but not sure if they all wiped as cyan suggested.

So for those that know, like simms. Should I wipe all 3 major things before flashing.

Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache..

and usually when someone says wipe, like going from modaco to cyan or something. do you do the same thing, wipe all 3. or is just Cache and Dalvik usually enough?

yea, wipe all three. youll probably have some sort of issues if you dont wipe all three. just be sure to back up whatever you need and make a nandroid backup.

Just downloading but won't flash until about 9:00 AM. Getting my ducks in a row by doing a Titanium backup. Need my phone for the next several hours.

already done titanium and a nandroid.. I'm just waiting after reading some of the reports over at XDA. but lots of them didn't wipe, or only wiped cache n such.

i'll try it, and revert back to FRF85b if needed. no worries.

or maybe I'll wait til test 2 or 3.. so simms, you've not had any problems

Yeah. For those who do not know... these builds are not even "test" builds yet, they are alpha I know that will not bother most people, but for those who do not feel like helping to report bugs and get dirty this will not be for you!

I also agree that it would be nice to have a new thread dedicated for CM6 because this thread is way too old. Hard for people to find relevant info in here any more without having to read every post.

Finally, I am wanting to do a complete wipe at some point because I think it would be good to do once in a while. I know I can flash CM6 over top of CM5... but I think it helps to wipe when going to a new major version.

That being said, I would like for my applications to be backed up. Any other data I should worry about...? I think most of the other data I would need is synced to Google. [Plus I can always nandroid back if needed]. Since apps2sd is not included yet I will have to find some other way to keep my apps in tact if I do wipe.
