Well, I "solved" the repeat notification problem! I went back to my Blackberry before the 30 day trial period ran out. Loved the fast web access of the Droid, but couldn't get around the lack of notifications and "To Do" lists without catagories. Maybe these things were our there, but I spent a lot of time looking and had very little luck. Happy to be a crackberry user again.

OK, I'll add my wish here too.

With all the frivolous apps, why can't we get a calendar with a repeating alarm? Yes, you can set multiple alarms, but to me this is backwards. They only remind you AHEAD of the necessary time. I need something that continues to remind until it is canceled. I need todo reminders, not critical appointment reminders.

If any of the devs have used the Palm calendar, THAT is what I want.

"Remind Me" is the closest thing I've come across so far, but it is not calendar based, and AFAIK, has no repeat function.

For instance, I need reminders of recurring events -- like clearing the ATM terminal at my shop every Monday morning. I don't always arrive at the shop at the same time every Monday. I need a repeating notification - every 5 minutes or so, that reminds me to clear the ATM terminal. I also need a delay or 'snooze' function if I cannot do the task right now. I have to be able to easily reschedule it for the same reasons, not dig through several layers of links to do so.

With the number of threads that I've looked at here and other forums, I can't believe this app is not already available. Seems everyone wants it.

Anybody listening? There's money to be made here!

    Frank.

My HTC Droid Eris did have a repeating alert - sometimes. I could never figure out why some alerts would repeat until canceled and some wouldn't, though, and I stopped using it because it was just too small for a soft keyboard. I miss the functionality with my Moto Droid. It must have been a function of the (awesome) HTC Calendar widget.

Heu, I just published an app that does exactly that - set repeating notifications for Calendar events. It is called: "Nudnik". Search for it in the Market.
You can contact me directly for any question or suggestions.

    Cheers

Just an alternative for the nudnik app:
    http://blog.invalidobject.com/androi...event-reminder

let's you set for which mode (silent, vibration, normal) you get vibration or alarm sound. also has:
    - repeating reminders
    - snoozing option
    - customizable vibration pattern / alarm sound, length of alarm
    - reminder stays open after last alarm
